Acteon X-Mind DC Intraoral X-Ray
X-rays made simple, for you and your patients
Taking X-rays should be quick and easy. With the Acteon X-Mind DC, you just tap the tooth on the control panel. The unit then sets the right exposure for you, based on patient type, kV, mA, time and receptor type. That means fewer settings to remember and fewer retakes.
Sharp images, safer for patients
The X-Mind DC uses high-frequency DC technology. It gives a steady, high-quality output. It also adjusts for changes in your mains power on its own. This removes harmful soft rays, so you get clear, repeatable images with less unneeded dose for the patient.
Fits your room, not the other way around
Every practice is set up differently. The X-Mind DC can be mounted on the wall (top or bottom), on your dental chair, on the ceiling, or used as a mobile stand. You can choose from three arm lengths and three cone types. One control unit can even run two X-ray heads.
Easy and safe to use every day
- Clear, bright 4-digit display
- Extendable X-ray button on a coiled cord
- Key lock to stop accidental exposures
- DAP (dose) display at the touch of a button

Common questions
What is the difference between the X-Mind DC and the X-Mind AC?
The DC model uses high-frequency technology. You can adjust the kV (60–70) and mA (4–8), and the shortest exposure is 0.02 seconds. The head is also lighter, at 5.5 kg compared with 9 kg. The AC is the classic model with a fixed 70 kV and 8 mA.
Which cone should I choose?
The long cone (31 cm) is for the parallel technique. The short cone (20 cm) is for the bisecting technique. The rectangular long cone cuts the X-rays reaching the patient's skin by up to 50%, according to Acteon.
Can one control unit run two X-ray heads?
Yes. One timer can control two X-Mind heads, for example in two treatment rooms.
Does it work with digital sensors?
Yes. The presets include receptor type, so you can set it up for your sensor or film. Talk to us about the best match.
Who installs the X-Mind DC?
Our own DIA technicians install it and can service it for you.
